Dr Lori Dithurbide

Dr. Lori Dithurbide's research is focused on the psychosocial aspects of sport and performance. The central themes of her research examine 1) the interactions between humans (athletes and coaches) and technology, both in training and competition; and 2) group dynamics in sport and performance contexts. Results of her research help inform technology users how to best incorporate and interact with technology and its impact on outcomes such as learning, confidence, and performance. Dr. Dithurbide is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and the Canadian Sport Psychology Association, and holds the High-Performance Certification (Mental Performance) with Sport Scientist Canada.

What this project means & Why it matters

This project matters because it can provide empirical evidence to best help our current and future athletes across all sports, and across Canada. I look forward to working with this team to push forward greater awareness, education, knowledge, and resources around mental health for all our national team athletes, coaches, and administrators.
